A few that really stick out in my mind:
1) My oldest son Austin gave me school supplies for us to use in our home schooling adventure together. He worked around his grandparents' home doing odd jobs to earn the money to pay for them. He then picked out each item after giving thought as to what things we were in need of. Most of the items came from the dollar store. But to me they are priceless......
2) My folks gave me a new dress.... When putting it on the first time to see if it fit or not.. I came out into the main hallway of our home. When I looked into the floor length mirror, I saw my hubby and youngest son Parker staring at me. Parker says, "Man, Mom! You're smokin'!" And his daddy/myhubby said, "AMEN!" I blushed... I laughed.... and of course I smiled deeply....
3) I could tell you more but I think I'll save those for the garage.....

I got some pretty good stuff. I picked up an Ani DiFranco CD and the Arcade Fire CD Funeral. I received America: The Book--which is freaking hilarious. A penguin calendar, for penguins are ridiculous creatures.
You'll like this, Dan--I got the Dead Like Me DVD set. (Curse Showtime for canceling it and they better put out season two on DVD, or else I'll hunt down whoever's responsible for not putting releasing it.)
Also, Spiderman 2. Mmm, Kirsten Dunst.
I got games! Rallisport Challenge 2 and Metroid Prime. Those should keep me busy, along with finishing up Halo 2.
My brother and his wife picked me up a couple of hiking books and a GPS unit. Very cool.
And finally, a fifth of Captain Morgan's spiced rum and no less than four shot glasses from my mom. Nothing says Merry Christmas like some delcious booze. Mmmm . . .

I got a Fighting Bob marionette...and some money and booze...and...and...
OK. I'm Jewish and my family is small.
I got some wonderful peace and quiet.

1) Blank video tapes (I tape all the Viking games), a book and a very nice Christmas dinner from my wife.
2) An early gift of concert tickets to see Bruce Hornsby a couple week ago from my son. He also gave us a nice minature craps table/roulette wheel/blackjack table.
3) A hand held carpet cleaner from my daughters. This is extremely useful as we have a new puppy and we're having a heck of a time potty training her.

Ralph,
Being from Hampton Roads, Bruce is a must-see. I've seen him once in Norfolk and once in Virginia Beach. Nice giftage.
Joel,
It sounds like you got the Christmas meant for me. Everything you listed sounds suspiciously like my own Christmas list.

Well, I'll tell you what, Dan. Come on over to Washington and swing by the house, you can play with my toys. I'll even let you drink some of my rum. It's a nice state. You'll like it--I promise.

Joel,
Sure, I'll just swing by next time I'm.. erm.. racing in the Iditarod.
