Time to lighten things up around here with a little cat-on-dog violence.

I think this qualifies as a hate crime under the new laws.

That dog really looks startled.

You know dogs. He probably came running up, all panting and whatnot, expecting that the cat was his new best friend and WHAM!

The cat is a calico, after all. Calico cats are generally opinionated. She'd have swatted another cat just as hard.
Therefore, under current definition of hate crimes in the U.S.A., this one does not qualify.

Violence aside, what is that green and white thing behind the belligerent kitty?

I'm thinking high-tech-doggy-thought-reading device that the cat has just set aside in disgust after discovering that she didn't really want to know what dogs are thinking after all.

Dog: "Just one more potato chip."

Cat: "Again with the potato chips? What is it [wham!] with you?"
