What a night to be a Yankee.

A-Rod rang up ten (yes, ten) RBI in the game by his lonesome, and the Rebels don't like it one bit.

By contrast, the Evil Empire is lapping it up. 10 RBI, 3 Homers, one grand slam. That's a great week for some players. Of course, those other players don't make 25 million.

Still, the Yankees continue to contend for basement status in the division. And the beat goes on.

As a Blue Jays fan, it's gonna be a long summer. The Jays are actually a decent team this year, but they're stuck in the division with big spenders NY and Boston, along with a resurgent Orioles team. Long, long summer.

It seems nobody likes to comment on the sports references. But, I take special note of all sports blogs (see Corey Dillon comments post-Superbowl). Blue Jays, huh? And I had you pegged as either an O's or Mets fan. Those are (were) the closest baseball affiliations we have here in Tidewater, except now we have the Washington Expos, er, Nationals to pull for!

No thanks. I'll remain a Reds fan....at least until one of them gets railroaded for gambling, or steroids, or being generally "stupid".

What? Pete Rose is accused of what?

Doug, I remember being surprised at how many Reds fans there are in Tidewater. James Alton is one, too, isn't he?
