Now we're cooking! Uh oh... now we're still cooking.

It's probably bad when your gas stove won't turn off, isn't it? We finally just unplugged it.

A word of caution on gas stoves; you don't simply "unplug" it in the sense of unplugging an electircal stove. The "plug" is used to supply electricity for the oven light and perhaps a timer or if you have newer stove, one with no pilot light, an electronic starter.
To disconnect the gas coming into the stove, you need an adjustible wrenchand so that you can stop the supply of gas coming into the stove. Turn the valve 90 degrees or until it stops. Check to see if your stove or oven lights. You should not smell any gas. The effects of the natural gas can be quite server even up to death. If you don't know what you are doing call me, or someone else if you wish, and I'll explain it to you over the phone. Don't be on the verge of beating cancer and end up a headline on the Darwin Awards.
I'm serious, call me. I know about these things.

She plugged it back in. I think it's ok now. I think it just took a little longer for the stove to turn off when she turned it to "off" than we expected. No gas smell or anything.
