Signs the person in front of you at the grocery store is on a diet.

Admit it. When you're waiting in line at the grocery store, you monitor what everyone else is buying and wonder why they need six tubs of Crisco and one pack of gum. Then you realize you're buying the same thing and judgement day is over.

Anyway, this is how you know I'm on a diet. This is my grocery receipt from tonight.

Progresso microwaveable soup (4 of them)
Weight Watchers drumsticks
distilled water
Weight Watchers cookies 'n cream bars
vanilla coffee creamer (not fat free, that's just going too far)
diet Pepsi
broccoli
fat free skim milk (a.k.a. water)
lite butter
grits
plain, nonfat yogurt
rice krispies
All Bran bars
baking potatoes

Despite the sadness of this list, the menu today looked pretty good. Here goes.

BREAKFAST
two slices of wheat bread toast with grape jelly

LUNCH
Wendy's chili (no cheese)

DINNER
filet mignon (yep!), mashed potatoes (yep!), broccoli (It is, after all, a diet.)

SNACK
Weight Watchers cookies 'n cream bar (These are delicious!)

Even the mashed potatoes didn't taste diety. I got the recipe from my WW cookbook.

4 baking potatoes
1/2 cup plain, nonfat yogurt
salt
pepper
I also added about 2 tablespoons of lite butter.
