French press declares Halloween dead
""Halloween was a marketing gimmick aimed mainly at children. It's a big festival of consumption selling outfits, masks, gadgets and it couldn't last forever," Guyot-Jeannin said."
Gosh those French are smart. I never in a million years would have seen Halloween for what it really is.
Does this mean I have to stop buying four bags of Halloween candy every year for the Trick-Or-Treaters that don't come down to my house?

Sure, they declare Halloween dead, like we're gonna listen. These are the people who think Jerry Lewis is a genius! So that's the litmus test for how seriously I take any comments from the French!
